Houston – Humble Surgical Hospital, LLC and PinPoint Commercial, a leading developer of medical and industrial properties throughout the United States, announced today that they will jointly develop a 30,000 sf state of the art Surgical Hospital to be located at 1475 FM 1960 Bypass E in Humble, Texas. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The physicians involved in Humble Surgical Hospital, LLC, currently operating out of a much smaller facility nearby, needed a larger and more modern facility to handle increasing demand. Once the Humble Surgical Hospital is complete in the Spring of 2010, it will provide a state of the art inpatient surgical hospital for the North Houston area.
“It has actually gotten to the point where we have had to consider turning cases away simply because we did not have any more capacity,” said Dr. Mustapha Kibirige, President and CEO of Humble Surgical Hospital, LLC. “It is not good for our patient relationships and it is not good for building business relationships when you have to turn people away.”
When originally conceived, Dr. Kibirige and his team looked for a local development partner with not only medical development expertise, but also the ability and reputation in the marketplace to get similar projects completed. Very quickly they found that partner at PinPoint Commercial.

When complete, Humble Surgical Hospital will boast a patient oriented, superior surgical experience from some of the area’s finest surgeons. By moving to the new facility, procedural capacity will almost triple as Humble Surgical Hospital will contain six operating rooms, two treatment rooms, one emergency room, six long-term recovery rooms and thirteen short-term recovery beds.
“We estimate that we will be able to perform around 800 cases a month in the new facility during the first year to be performed by 80 physician partners, with the ability to ramp to around 1400 cases a month in the future,” added Dr. Kibirige. “We go out and recruit only surgeons who are leaders in their field. Unlike other similar facilities, we do not concentrate on only one type or surgery, but several, including orthopedic, cardiology, ophthalmology, podiatry, spine, bariatric, plastic and ENT.”
